The Harris Mausoleum was constructed at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago, IL, for Norman Waite Harris, his family, and his descendants.  In 1882, Mr. Harris founded the Chicago-based N.W. Harris & Co.; later known as the Harris Bank, BMO Harris Bank, and BMO.

The structure may have been designed by the architecture firm of Sheply, Rutan & Coolidge, who was responsible for Chicago landmark buildings, such as the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Cultural Center.   The tomb is styled after a classical tempietto clad in marble and granite with a cast copper dome.

DetaiLAB was engaged to investigate the mausoleum's condition, provide comprehensive repair recommendations, and coordinate onsite repairs with the restoration contractor.
