To accommodate growth, the University of Chicago desired a new facility at the southern border of the campus.  Parking was needed to relieve the University of Chicago Hospital facilities and reduce employee street parking.  To reduce the visual scale of the parking garage, an office building wraps the structure.  Housed in the complex are nine administrative departments and the University of Chicago Police.  Design of the interior improved departmental relationships while providing an open and light-filled space with expansive views available to all employees.  A shared conference center was provided on the first floor.
